There is no application fee for returning residents.

Application Process for Residents Currently Living in the Residence Halls

As a loyal current resident, your application process includes having the first pick of your desired community, floor, and even a specific room. There are two options for priority room selection currently offered.

Option 1: Same Room Renewal

Step 1: Sign Your Housing Contract

Current residents have priority for keeping their current assigned rooms when signing their new housing contract. To renew the same room, you must complete a two-step process to be locked in for the following semester.

  1. Log in to the .
  2. In the drop down menu, click Housing Applications and select the “Current Residents: Same Room Renewal” option.
  3. Read through and sign the contract.
  4. Verify your home address, mailing address, and FERPA authorization.
  5. Select your Dining Plan for the upcoming academic year.
  6. Submit your application.
Step 2: Select Your Same Room

Log in to the Housing Portal. Navigate to “Room Selection” on the homepage. Press "Select a Room/Suite". You will view your current room assignment and pricing information. If you would like to proceed, press "Select Room". The next page will confirm the room you have selected and show who your roommate/suitemates are if they have already renewed. Select "I Agree - Submit My Room Selection" to complete your same room renewal.

Option 2: New Room Selection

Current residents have the chance to have a single, double or triple room in their desired community for the upcoming academic year. The process is conducted every spring semester based on how many semesters you have lived in the residence halls. Your GPA may be utilized as a way to be placed ahead of others who have the same tenure.

You will typically receive an email by early March of your selection time for this in-person process. Steps on how to complete your room selection will be included in the email.

How to Receive Your Selection Number

To receive a selection number, you must have completed the “Current Residents: New Room Selection” application by the application deadline. Access the application by:

  1. Logging in to the .
  2. Select the "Housing Application" from the drop down menu and click on “Current Residents: New Room Selection”.
  3. Look through and sign the contract.
  4. Verify your home address, mailing address, and FERPA authorization.
  5. Select your dining plan for the upcoming academic year.
  6. Hit “Submit” to complete your application.

Application Process for Previous Residents

Option 1

  1. Complete the application and participate in room selection over the summer (see our Important Dates page for deadlines)
  2. Logging in to the
  3. Select the "Housing Application" from the drop down menu and click on “Current/Previous Resident” application 
  4. Look through and sign the contract
  5. Verify your home address, mailing address, and FERPA authorization
  6. Select your dining plan for the upcoming academic year
  7. Hit “Submit” to complete your application
  8. Check on your Rebel Mail to receive email communication for your next steps
