Protesters gathered at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ on Thursday in a demonstration targeting the Trump administration’s immigration policies.

As 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ confirmed that another three international students have had their visas revoked, dozens of students, faculty and community members descended on the school’s campus to protest the Trump administration’s crackdown on college campuses and sweeping deportations.

51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ has confirmed three additional international students have had their visas revoked. According to officials this is in addition to the 4 students that received the same memo three weeks ago.

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ) has confirmed that three additional international students have had their visas revoked by federal immigration authorities as of April 24.

After serving at the helm of the university for nearly two months, Chris Heavey has been named 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s interim president.

Four Nevada institutions – UNR, the University of Nevada Las Vegas (51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ), Nevada State University (NSU), and the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) – are members of AAC&U. Late Thursday a spokesperson for NSU President DeRionne Pollard notified the Current that Pollard had signed on to the letter. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s Interim President Chris Heavey signed on Friday, according to a spokesperson.

A protest, organized by a coalition of student and community groups, is held in front of Hospitality Hall at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Thursday, April 24, 2025, in Las Vegas. People spoke out against the Trump administration cancelling the student visas of some foreign students and other topics.

Several students have had their visas revoked for allegedly participating in protests.
