A new study shows eating food additives may increase the risk of getting diabetes. Specifically, we're talking about ingredients used to make processed creamy and sugar-free food that can sit on the shelf for a long time.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is pulling back $11.4 billion in funds allocated in response to the pandemic to state and community health departments, nongovernment organizations and international recipients, the Department of Health and Human Services confirmed Tuesday to NBC News.

To celebrate the big day, there's a tradition of having themed "matching" days where last year, Dr. Kahn dressed up as Super Mario and this year is Harry Potter-themed!

Given the highly contagious nature of measles and the ongoing outbreak, some health officials expect continued spread could last a year. Texas is bearing the brunt of the outbreak, with the majority of the cases reported in the state.
