What to Expect on Move-In Days

Most residents will move into campus on certain move-in days. Be sure to visit our Important Dates page for specific dates and follow these steps to ensure that the move-in process runs smoothly for all residents.

Step 1: Check Your RebelMail

The move-in guide will be sent to your RebelMail before your move-in date. This guide will provide information about the best way to begin arriving on campus.

Step 2: Follow the Signs to Your Assigned Residence Hall Community

You may also view the Student Housing and Support page for map locations of our buildings and complexes.

Step 3: Unload Your Vehicle

Our move-in crew will help unload your car while you go to your check-in site. If you are by yourself, park your car after you have unloaded it and then come back to the check-in site. Do not leave your car unattended in the loading/unloading zones or your vehicle will be subject to ticketing and/or towing.

Step 4: Check-In

While your car is being unloaded, proceed to the check-in site with a valid photo ID to either pick up your RebelCard or have your RebelCard encoded.

Step 5: Park Your Car

Directions to long-term parking will be provided after you have unloaded. Do not park in metered spots, or spots marked “Staff” or “Reserved,” as your vehicle will be subject to ticketing and/or towing. No parking pass is necessary during move-in week if you park in a designed “Student” parking spot.

Step 6: Move-In

Go with our move-in volunteers to your room, as they will help you move your belongings. Upon entering your room, you will complete the room condition report for any damage that was in the room prior to your arrival. You will submit this form to your Resident Assistant (RA), who will save it for review as you move out of the residence hall.

Step 7: Make Yourself at Home

All that’s left to do is decorate and make your new room your home away from home.
