Stacey D. Hardy-Chandler

Stacey D. Hardy-Chandler, '06 Law, is the chief executive officer of a non-profit serving the social work regulatory community across the U.S. and Canada. The three major phases of Hardy-Chandler’s 35-year career journey have included: direct clinical practice; academic faculty member and administrator (51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ and George Mason University); and human service senior management in Fairfax County and the City of Alexandria. She'll soon be entering the fourth phase of her career as a leader in bi-national social work regulation. Hardy-Chandler is active in her community and was twice elected president of the National Organization of Forensic Social Work, has served as an appointee to the Fairfax City Commission for Women, and is an active member of the Fairfax chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.  

Bradley Packer

Bradley Packer, '95 BS Hotel Administration, is senior director of public relations and communications. Based in Austin, Texas, he oversees Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora and Four Seasons Hotel Houston. He has been with Four Seasons for 18 years, having been previously based in Honolulu and Los Angeles, working with their hotels around the world, including Lana’i and Hawaii Island, Bora Bora, Nevis, Westlake Village, Santa Barbara, Houston, and New Orleans. He enjoys live music, cooking, cocktail making, and traveling with his wife and young sons.

Kimberlyn Davis, '24 Hospitality Management, started a position with the LA28 Olympic organizing committee for summer 2028.

John Schrieber

John Schrieber, '95 BS Business Administration and '00 MBA, is the chief financial officer at NuStep, LLC. Schrieber is married with two daughters, the oldest of which is attending Auburn University and is studying pre-nursing.

Jill Schutte

Jill (Flemington) Schutte, '64 BS Education, was an elementary teacher in the Los Angeles City School District from 1965-1970. Later on, she worked at Greenwich Academy as a teacher and administrator; a teacher, administrator, and guidance counselor at Westminster Day School in Oklahoma; a teacher at Steward School in Virginia; a teacher and administrator at Anaheim City School District; and a substitute teacher at Temecula Valley School District. She earned a master's degree in guidance and counseling from the University of Oklahoma in 1986 and earned a special education certificate in 2014. Schutte has traveled extensively to all continents except Antarctica, took 230 hours of technology training and has been a mentor to many young teachers. Her hobbies include sewing, travel, painting, community service, rotary, and church activities.

Leslie Hooe

Leslie (Summerville) Hooe, â€˜01 BM and '05 MM Music Education, works as an assistant principal for a 4th-6th grade campus in Palestine, Texas. She will begin an education law program in 2025 with high hopes of bringing positive change to her rural East Texas community. Hooe is a volunteer soccer coach for the YMCA and music director for the local community theater. However, she really just loves going home to her family: her husband, two boys, a cat, two dogs, and eight chickens.

Megan Lanz

Megan Lanz, '06 MM and '10 DMA, recently published a textbook with Cognella Academic Publishing (2024), titled Music and the Human Experience: A Guide for Informed Listening. This textbook is part of a larger paradigm shift in music appreciation instruction, leaving behind a Western-centric historical approach to a more inclusive application of how all music is used in our everyday lives.

Gregg Lee Carter

Gregg Lee Carter, ’73 BA History, was awarded professor emeritus status after 40 years of teaching at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island. He earned his MA, M.Phil., and Ph.D. degrees in sociology at Columbia University. Including original manuscripts, multiple editions, and edited anthologies, he has authored or coauthored 25 books, including Gun Control in the United States (ABC-CLIO), Guns in American Society (ABC-CLIO), How to Manage Conflict in the Organization (American Management Association), Population and Society (Polity), The Gun Control Movement (Twayne), and Working Women in America (Oxford University Press). His writings on contemporary social issues have also appeared in more than a dozen academic journals. He lives in Rhode Island with his wife, Lisa, and enjoys family time with his four children and three grandchildren. His hobbies are underwater photography, and he's currently researching the effects of social class on health.

Richard Derrick

Richard Derrick, '88 BS Accounting and '02 MPA, retired as Henderson city manager/CEO after 26 years of service. Derrick joined the City in 1999 and held the city manager position since 2018. His stewardship has led to sustained positive resident sentiment, with satisfaction ranking above the 95th percentile, leading the City to receive the 2024 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award — the nation's only presidential award for performance excellence. Successful public-private partnerships under his stewardship, like those with the Vegas Golden Knights, brought professional sports teams, including the Henderson Silver Knights, Vegas Knight Hawks, Vegas Thrill, and Las Vegas Desert Dogs, to Henderson and the Raiders Practice Facility. Derrick spends his free time cruising with his wife, enjoying the outdoors at his cabin in Utah, and staying active. He has three children and five grandchildren that keep him busy.

Myrra Smith

  Myrra Smith, ‘20 MBA and J.D., recently joined the Las Vegas office of Ogletree Deakins as counsel. Her practice focuses on labor and employment law. Smith has counseled numerous employers on claims involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family & Medical Leave Act, the Uniformed Services Employment & Reemployment Rights Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. Her experience also extends to negotiating and litigating class and collective action matters.   

Jaime Spotleson Brousse

Jaime Spotleson, '03 Journalism, recently joined the development team at the ACLU of Nevada. She previously worked in media and public relations in Chicago, Nashville, and Las Vegas. Her personal advocacy and volunteer efforts have focused on gun violence prevention, reproductive justice, local libraries, and public education. She is married with two children, and they enjoy rooting for the Rebels.
