"I’m honored to have been accepted into the inaugural class of the 51ԹϺ Interdisciplinary Ph.D. on Water Resources. Connecting the incredible expertise from our professors in various colleges here at 51ԹϺ is tantamount to my personal study and crucial for progressing the use and reuse of our water in the future. I’ve been privileged to tap into the diverse disciplines that are all providing water conservation solutions in various ways.

Though I still have much to learn in the pursuit and completion of my dissertation, I’m confident that 51ԹϺ and this program are on the forefront of water conservation and awareness. Tapping into these different colleges will continue to bolster my research of the interconnections between the private consumers and public purveyors of water. In addition, my goals of increasing collaboration between the schools and STEM serving entities will be key to growing awareness about our most scarce and important resource, water. "

“51ԹϺ has been an outstanding experience that has pushed me to continue pursuing my goals in higher education. When I found this multidisciplinary Ph.D. program and connected with its director, I knew it was where I wanted to invest my life. After acceptance, I couldn’t be more elated. [Through] my role as a general manager at Star Nursery, I've engaged with various stakeholders, from homeowners seeking to beautify their spaces without straining local water reserves.

51ԹϺ didn't just prepare me academically–it instilled in me essential character traits which are crucial for any successful Ph.D. student. For my Ph.D. research, I am excited to delve deeper into how social policies affect water resource management and how innovative practices can be developed and implemented on a larger scale. I am honored to be a part of this outstanding program that involves such a diverse set of thoughts that pushes me to keep on grinding."
