Event Venues

Our team offers a variety of spaces across campus to fit every need. Utilize our ballroom, theatre, or several meeting rooms in the Student Union or head across campus to use one of our many outdoor green spaces or non-academic use of classrooms.

Student Union Ballroom

Our 9,000-square-foot ballroom is a canvas with endless possibilities for large events such as ceremonies, public speaking events, conventions, and celebrations. With three sections available for use, you can seat between 192 to 783 attendees. Our ballroom pre-function space can also provide a max capacity of 180 for a cocktail reception or conference registration area.

Large Meeting Room 208

Our large meeting room 208 is a 4,000-square-foot versatile Goldilocks space for events too big for a meeting room but too small for the ballroom. This space is unique for its built-in video conferencing capabilities, providing a space for your audience beyond the Student Union. With three sections available for use, you can seat between 72 to 216 people.

Small & Medium-Sized Meeting Rooms

At approximately 800 square feet, our meeting rooms offer beautiful views of the valley and are ideal for smaller events such as meetings, community gatherings, and parties. Choose from four small-sized meeting rooms with a max capacity of 36 or six medium-sized meeting rooms with a max capacity of 48.

Philip J. Cohen Theatre

At 2,340 square feet, this venue on the first floor of the Student Union is ideal for small performances, speaking engagements, or product reveals. With built-in theatre seating for 294 and a rich sound system, your vision will shine on stage for others to witness. Reserve the adjacent Green Room and Powder Room to complete your experience.

Valerie Pida Plaza

The Valerie Pida Plaza is the heart of campus outside of the Student Union. The vast, high-traffic public square is perfect for lively outdoor shows and social engagements. With a capacity for 200 people, this dynamic space can be the canvas for any event you would like to dream up.

Alumni Amphitheater

Located to the north of the Student Union between Valerie Pida Plaza and the Academic Mall, the Alumni Amphitheater features a cement stage and amphitheater seating for 200 guests. Utilize this intimate outdoor area for your performance, movie night screening, town hall, or other notable event to imprint a memory in the minds of your guests.

Academic Mall

The Academic Mall is a long quarter-mile outdoor space split into seven grassy lots ideal for festivals, fairs, and gatherings of all sizes. With a wide-open area featuring ample shade from trees, your 1,400 maximum guests can be shielded during a day event or enchanted during a night engagement.

Student Union Courtyard and Donald C. Moyer Courtyard Amphitheater

Our courtyard is ideal for performances, concerts, and corporate activations. Located between the Student Union and 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Bookstore, its large concrete patio allows for stages, tour buses, and many configurations of seating. Adjoined is the Donald C. Moyer Courtyard Amphitheater which provides an intimate location for speakers and performers.

Non-Academic Use of Classrooms

Registered student organizations, departments, and external clients may choose to host their meeting or event in one of our campus classrooms or auditoriums across our 350-acre campus.

Note: Classroom reservations cannot begin until after the second week of the semester to provide priority to our courses. Faculty looking to reserve a classroom for a class should contact the Office of the Registrar.

Student Study Space

While we highly regard academics to be the first priority for students, the meeting rooms in the Student Union are not intended for studious activities. You may study at any of the available tables in the Student Union on a first-come, first-served basis.. There are also several other facilities on campus with designated study areas such as the .
