The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Student Union is an exciting and vibrant facility that is conveniently located off of Maryland Parkway. With more than 135,000 square feet, the Union is equipped with a range of amenities and offers various services from dining, event planning, and event spaces. We are committed to creating exceptional guest services by providing safe, clean, well-maintained facilities and equipment, opportunities for student education and development, and value-added services while adhering to our core values of integrity, teamwork, sustainability, inclusion and communication.

Our History
51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ students have always needed a place to study, organize events, and house the Student Life administrative offices. In the 1960s, students came together and decided to fund their own union for a $27-per-semester fee. In 1968, the Donald C. Moyer Student Union (MSU) opened and was named after 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s second president.
51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ had 5,000 students to fill the more than 77,000-square-foot building when it was first built. Original plans called for a renovation and expansion of the Moyer Student Union, with further research discovering that it would be more effective to build a new building than to renovate the facility. The university tore down the building and worked from the group up, and on July 23, 2007, the new Student Union opened its doors to meet the needs of the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ community.
The current facility is made available by a semester fee paid by students. The fee makes it possible for the fun to happen within the Student Union.
Meet Our Teams
Our unit is made up of four teams:
Reservations
As the curators of the Student Union, the Reservations team helps students, faculty, and staff in the process of finding space for communities to unite.
Sales and Events
As the facilitators of the Student Union, the Sales and Events team helps in the coordination of long-lasting memories through experiences for our guests.
Event Operations
As the muscle of the Student Union, the Event Operations team puts all of the pieces together day-of to ensure a successful event for our guests.
Facilities and Custodial
As the protectors of the Student Union, Facilities and Custodial oversees the day-to-day and long-term maintenance goals of the Student Union.
