Biography

Matthew Gordin is a part-time instructor for the Master of Science in Cybersecurity program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. As an alumni of the CSEC program himself, he's very familiar with the material and topics covered throughout it and uses this background to prepare his students for their upcoming coursework. Professionally, Matthew works as an Automation Engineer for RedPanda Systems, a local MSP and cybersecurity company, where his specialty is creating machine automation solutions and utilizing artificial intelligence to increase efficiency, reduce human error, and document processes. He has also co-authored cybersecurity research papers and participated in competitions at DEF CON, notably helping design AI vishing bots to compete at DEF CON's Social Engineering Village and educate about the potential dangers of AI-based cyberattacks.
