Lecturer Jeffrey Peterson joined the Kinesiology and Nutrition Sciences Department in fall 2024. He teaches motor behavior courses within the department's undergraduate program. Peterson emphasizes a learner-centered teaching approach that incorporates hands-on learning to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to succeed in careers within the field.

Peterson earned his bachelor's degree in exercise and sport science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and his master's degree in kinesiology with a concentration on neuromechanics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
