Get To Know This Resident
Why did you choose the obstetrics and gynecology residency program at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ?
As a military applicant, I was interested in 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ/Nellis Air Force Base for the civilian partnership so that I would be exposed to more patient and healthcare/systems diversity. I took interest in 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s high obstetrics volume and our on-base experiences with gynecology.
What are your interests within obstetrics and gynecology?
I always thought I would want to go into a gynecology fellowship because I love gynecologic surgery, but I have been surprised by how much I really love all the obstetrics training and experience too. Overall, I love being in the operating room.
What is your favorite thing to do in Las Vegas?
I love all the fun places to eat, drink, and explore in Vegas, especially everything outdoors and the nearby national and state parks.
What is one fun fact about you?
I have the cutest cat named Minnie!
What is one piece of advice you would give to candidates interested in the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program?
Live it up before residency – travel far and often during your fourth year! Residency is hard, and it’s tough to find the time and energy to travel.
