Get To Know This Resident
Why did you choose the obstetrics and gynecology residency program at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ?
After growing up in the Pacific Northwest, I was very excited for a bit more sunshine in my life, and I knew I wanted to move to the Southwest. My 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ pre-interview dinner was my favorite, and I could tell that all of the residents had really great relationships.
What are your interests within obstetrics and gynecology?
I applied to medical school knowing I wanted to be an OB-GYN and everything in medical school affirmed that desire. I love all things obstetrics, and in particular, I really love being a part of both vaginal and cesarean births.
What is your favorite thing to do in Las Vegas?
I love getting outside, and with the year-round sunshine, I am able to be really active all year. One of my favorite things to do is paddle board along the Colorado River near Emerald Cove, and in the cooler months, I paddleboard or hike into the natural hot springs along the river.
What is one fun fact about you?
I grew up in a small town called Boring, Oregon.
