Chelsea Meggerson has been appointed executive director of Purchasing and Contracts, effective March 1. In this role, Meggerson will oversee Purchasing and Contracts and the PCard Program, ensuring that 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Purchasing functions as a strategic, service-driven department committed to transparency, efficiency, cost savings, and exceptional campus support.
Meggerson has been an integral part of 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ for more than eight years. A first-generation 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ graduate, she began her procurement career in 2014 at Caesars Corporate in the furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) division, where she contributed to the successful openings of Mr. Chow, The Cromwell, and The Linq Hotel.
Since joining 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ in 2016 as a purchasing analyst, Meggerson has steadily advanced, becoming senior purchasing analyst in 2018. She has played a pivotal role in 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s Workday implementation, serving as a Workday configuration partner and earning Workday PRO certifications in financials and procure-to-pay. Additionally, she holds certifications as a Nevada contracts paralegal and supply chain manager and is steps away from obtaining her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Beyond her work in procurement, Meggerson is deeply committed to fairness and service. She serves as a Business Affairs lead CARE ambassador and chair of the Legislative Committee, RBDAC, advocating for the use of a varied range of suppliers.
Since being appointed interim executive director in July 2024, Meggerson has demonstrated outstanding leadership, strategic vision, and a commitment to innovation and collaboration. She has championed initiatives that strengthen 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s position as a forward-thinking institution in procurement.
