51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ is offering an exciting opportunity for students, faculty, and alumni to showcase their artistic talents by designing murals or artwork for a new Fast Casual Restaurant (the Scarlet Sage) in the Student Union (opening spring 2025)!
This commissioned project includes three unique competitions:
Interior Mural – A large-scale mural that will serve as a centerpiece inside the restaurant.
Exterior Mural – A vibrant, welcoming design for the restaurant’s back patio.
Framed Paintings – Two stunning pieces reflecting desert night and sunrise themes for the restaurant’s restrooms.
Who Can Apply?
Current 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ students (graduate & undergraduate in good standing), faculty/staff, and alumni with experience in mural or large-scale artwork. Teams of up to five (5) Artists may apply together.
This is a competitive selection process, and awards will be granted based on artistic vision, feasibility, and alignment with 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s theme of inclusivity and vibrancy.
