The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Top Tier Award honors employees for outstanding contributions to 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ and its mission to be a top tier university. The 2025 recipients of the award are Pradip Bhowmik and Thessa Hilgenkamp.
Pradip Bhowmik is a professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in the College of Sciences. Bhowmik demonstrates a commitment to the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Top Tier initiative through his extensive research, scholarship, and mentorship. His research has led to significant breakthroughs in industrial chemistry, renewable energy, and biomedical sciences, and he is described as a dedicated interdisciplinary collaborator.
Thessa Hilgenkamp is an assistant professor of physical therapy in the School of Integrated Health Sciences. She demonstrates a commitment to the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Top Tier initiative through her academic excellence and community engagement. Her research focuses on exercise and cardiovascular health in individuals with Down Syndrome and she serves in leadership roles for several advocacy organizations.
These and other award recipients will be featured in 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s 2025 Academic Achievement Award Ceremony on Wednesday, April 23 at 3 p.m. in the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Foundation Building, Blasco Wing.
