The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Maternal Health Lab is currently recruiting participants for a study on pregnancy hormones, mood, and memory. The purpose of the study is to identify early markers of postpartum depression.
To be eligible, individuals must meet the following requirements:
- Between the ages of 21 and 40
- Approximately 32 weeks pregnant with first child
- Not currently taking prescribed medication
- No history of substance abuse or neurological disorders
The study, conducted at either the Maternal Health Lab at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ or the individual's home, involves psychologically assessing women at 37 weeks of pregnancy and within the first ten days after birth. Each session generally lasts about an hour.
