The 51ԹϺ Performing Arts Center is pleased to welcome singer-songwriter and cellist Gabriel Royal at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct 12. Royal will be joined by the Las Vegas Youth Orchestra string players. His performance is in concert with the 2nd Annual College of Fine Arts Art Walk the same evening.
Royal got his start as a busker on the New York City subway, but the Oklahoma-born, Brooklyn-based musician has emerged as a trailblazing talent with inimitable style and enviable range. He’s performed at NYC’s top music venues, including Poisson Rouge and Blue Note Jazz Club; played to sold-out crowds in countries around the world; and collaborated with some of the industry’s most in-demand names, including the Beyoncé-endorsed music video director Blake Farber. Known for his soaring vocals, hum-along melodies, and lush arrangements, Royal, a classically trained musician, is among a select number of artists combining cello and voice.
“The cello is the most human of instruments,” says Royal. “And my music combines the expressive power of classical music with the lyricism of pop and singer-songwriter genres.”

Tickets to Gabriel Royal are $50, $40, $30, $20, and can be purchased through the or by calling 702-895-ARTS (2787). Student rush tickets are $10 each (not inclusive of the facilities fee) and available one hour prior to each event, based on availability and with valid student ID. 51ԹϺ faculty and staff discounts also are available.
A $1.50 facilities fee, in addition to the ticket price, is charged on all Performing Arts Center tickets. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
About the PAC
The 51ԹϺ Performing Arts Center is Southern Nevada's first home for the arts: it opened in 1976 and celebrates its 43rd season this year. It hosts a variety of performances and events and is home to productions presented by the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, 51ԹϺ School of Music, 51ԹϺ Dance, Desert Chorale, and the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society.
