The Performing Arts Center is pleased to welcome traditional Irish ensemble Danú at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6. Formed in 1995, these virtuosi performers hail from Waterford, Dublin, Donegal, and Cork.
For more than two decades Danú's players on flute, tin whistle, fiddle, button accordion, bouzouki, and vocals (Irish and English) have delighted audiences worldwide. Winners of numerous awards from the BBC and Irish Music Magazine, Danú has toured throughout Europe and North America with stops at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and Symphony Space in New York City. Danú takes its audiences on a musical journey to their native Ireland, offering a moving and memorable concert experience.
Tickets
Tickets to Danú are $50, $40, $30, $20, and can be purchased through the Performing Arts Center box office or by calling 702-895-ARTS (2787). Student rush tickets are $10 each (not inclusive of the facilities fee) and available one hour prior to each event, based on availability and with valid student ID. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ faculty and staff discounts also are available.
A $1.50 facilities fee, in addition to the ticket price, is charged on all Performing Arts Center tickets. The box office is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Performing Arts Center patrons are welcome to park in the Cottage Grove Parking Garage. Parking is free after 7 p.m. Monday - Thursday, after 1 p.m. Friday, and all weekend.
About the PAC
The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Performing Arts Center is Southern Nevada's first home for the arts: it opened in 1976 and celebrates its 43rd season this year. It hosts a variety of performances and events and is home to productions presented by the Nevada Conservatory Theatre, 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ School of Music, 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Dance, Desert Chorale, and the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society. The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ PAC also is pleased to host various Clark County School District fine arts festivals and concerts.
