Please join 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ doctor of musical arts candidate Dafne Guevara for a very special flute convocation at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, in the Doc Rando Recital Hall of the Beam Music Center. The performance celebrates the Panamanian Flute Festival she single-handedly organized and presented July 3 -Aug. 4. Through nothing but perseverance and tenacity, Guevara organized more than 60 students from around the world to attend the festival that included 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ flute professor Jennifer Grim, as well as other acclaimed professional flutists and educators. The event is free and open to the public.
