Biography

Benjamin Edwards researches and writes about business and securities law, corporate governance, professional ethics, and alternative dispute resolution.

He has served as chair of the Sections on Securities Law, Professional Responsibility, and Transactional Law and Skills for the Association of American Law Schools. Before teaching, Edwards practiced in the New York office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. His prior work includes matters related to the Madoff Ponzi Scheme, consumer protection, financial crisis litigation, securities litigation, and securities arbitration.

His writing has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Bloomberg, The Hill, Salon, The Daily Beast, Investment News, and other outlets.
