A student asking a library staff member for help. — Ask Us: The University Libraries is full of experts trained to help — from answering tough research questions to developing a multimedia project. Contact your librarian via text, chat, email, or phone. As always, you can come visit us in person. Learn more about how to get started using the University Libraries through this short tutorial.

You can check out calculators, anatomical models, textbooks for most general education courses, books, and more. We also provide free exam supplies: pencils, exam books, and Scantrons. Visit the circulation desk in Lied Library to get started.

Students studying in a study room at the library. — Learning Spaces Galore: There is no better place to study on campus than at the Libraries. Group study rooms and collaborative study zones with flexible furniture accommodate lively discussion, while quiet study spaces are available for the individuals who prefer that. The Libraries recently added power and computer drops, white boards, and new furniture for students. Learn more about the Lied Library Space Enhancement Project online.

A student meeting with a library staff member in a conference room. — Meet with an Expert: You can meet with a subject liaison librarian one-on-one or with a small group to focus your research topic, identify and evaluate sources, and learn to search library databases effectively. Prevent last-minute stress: Schedule an appointment with your librarian now.

Discover and browse images, documents, and oral histories from Special Collections.

The Architecture Studies front desk. — Visit a Branch: In addition to Lied Library, students can visit any of our three branch libraries: Architecture Studies Library (ASL), Teacher Development and Resources Library (TDRL), and Music Library. The ASL is located in the Paul B. Sogg Architecture Building; the TDRL is housed on the first floor of the Carlson Education Building; and the Music Library is located in the Beam Music Center at the northeast corner of campus. Although the collections in each branch are focused on specific subjects, each library is open to all 51�ԹϺ�� students for research and study.

A tutor helping a student with Chemistry. — Tutoring: The Academic Success Center’s drop-in tutoring lab is located on the second floor of Lied Library. Tutoring is free and open to currently enrolled students with a valid RebelCard. Typical subjects include: accounting, biology, chemistry, economics, math, physics, and Spanish. Tutoring hours: 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday through Thursday; 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday; and 2 p.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.

A student checking our a book at the library through an automated machine. — Interlibrary Loan: If the University Libraries doesn’t own an item you need, we can get it for you for free through interlibrary loan (ILL). ILL works with other libraries to quickly obtain journal articles, books, and book chapters for researchers. Unsure how to request materials from other libraries? Watch this short tutorial.

Perks include flexible hours, a convenient location, continuous employment, and more. Learn more and apply online.

Lied Library is open nearly 100 hours a week throughout the semester. The library collection includes more than 1.8 million volumes, 750,000 ebooks, and access to 300 databases. Services are provided by more than 110 full-time expert faculty and staff and 125 student assistants.
