Dr. Steven Mowen (Medicine) won the Exemplary Plenary Research Presentation Award at the Western Regional Society of Academic Emergency Medicine meeting held at UC Irvine on April 10-11, 2025. Mowen is an emergency physician (completed his EM residency at the KKSOM, Department of Emergency Medicine) and is a current Critical Care Fellow at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine Critical Care Fellowship at UMC. Mowen presented his team's work titled: "Mowen S, DiFabio, R, Worth C, Ash J, Smith T, McCourt JD, Slattery DE. IMPROVES- Institutional Makeover: Patient Responses Obtained by Volunteers, an Experience Survey." Congratulations to Mowen and the Department of Emergency Medicine on their prestigious award!
Dr. McCourt is an associate professor and serves as the vice chair for Clinical Operations and Dr. Slattery is a professor and director of research for the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.
