Shawn Gerstenberger (Community Health Sciences) and Daniel Bubb (Academic Assessment) participated in the first Masters of Public Health Quality Assessment Summit hosted by 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ's School of Community Health Sciences. Faculty, graduate students, alumni, community members, and employers gathered to attend the half-day event on March 7, engaging in energetic discussion about ways to improve assessing graduate student learning, and linking those improvements to preparation for employment. The event initiated a conversation about bridging the wide gap between university and employer perceptions of student preparation for working in the community health industry. Gerstenberger facilitated the well-attended event, while Bubb gave the keynote address. Henderson Councilwoman Debra March delivered a luncheon speech about Southern Nevada Strong. The event concluded with a walking tour of the campus.
