John Haberstroh (History) led a round-table discussion on "Chatting about ChatGPT: Wisdom, Worries, and Warnings," which covered pedagogical strategies for Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the Pacific Coast Branch of the American Historical Association's annual meeting at CSU Northridge on Aug. 11, 2023. This discussion sought to clarify the capabilities and limitations of generative AI, potential opportunities for incorporating generative in history classroom contexts, student academic integrity, student-instructor communication about AI, and open dialogue about "what to do" for the fall 2023 semester.
