John Curry (History) traveled to the University of Munster in Germany to present as part of the workshop. He presented a paper titled, "Speaking Chinese, Translating Persian: Strategies of the Autograph Manuscript of Alī Akbar Khaṭāyī’s Book of China," as part of a panel on "Bringing the World to the Ottoman Court." The workshop included scholars working on medieval Eurasian history and culture from all over the world, and Prof. Curry was the sole representative from North American academia at the event. The findings of the workshop are eventually slated to be published as a special journal edition or edited volume in the coming year.
