Joanne Goodwin (History) has been elected to the position of secretary for . The organization's mission is to promote the preservation and interpretation of sites and locales that bear witness to women's participation in American life. Most recently the organization won National Historic Landmark status for the home of civil rights and women's rights activist Pauli Murray. Goodwin's term is for two years.
