Joanna Libby (Educational Outreach) and Cynthia Carruthers (Educational and Clinical Studies) co-authored an article that will be published by the Journal of Outdoor Recreation, Education, and Leadership in October. The article, "Outcomes Associated with a University Outdoor Adventures Women's Canoe Trip," examines women's experiences and the processes that take place to achieve the experiences on a short-term canoe trip. The results support that an outdoor environment can be conducive to elevating self-efficacy and empowerment in women.
