Jessica Impallaria, M.Ed. '08 (Liberal Arts) received an Outstanding Service Award from (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Las Vegas and the Eighth Judicial District Court during the 10th annual volunteer appreciation luncheon held April 26, 2025. Jessica was recognized for her compassionate advocacy for children in foster care and the additional volunteer duties she has done as a peer coordinator onboarding and mentoring 12 volunteers over the last year. Since 2022, Jessica and her team of volunteer advocates have helped shape the future for 27 children (and counting) in foster care assisting them with navigating the system, reuniting with relatives, finding permanent homes, or preparing to age out of care.
