Janice M. Pluth (Health Physics & Diagnostic Sciences) and Chad L. Cross (Epidemiology & Biostatistics), along with colleagues at UC Berkley, recently published the article in the Journal of Radiation Research and Applied Sciences. The purpose of the research was to evaluate the impact of mitochondrial defects on radiation-induced DNA damage response and genomic instability, which are biomarkers that can foreshadow cancer development.
