Frederic Poineau (Chemistry and Biochemistry) was published in Communication Chemistry, an open access journal from the Nature Portfolio. The article titled "Pivotal role of ⁹⁹Tc NMR spectroscopy in solid-state and molecular chemistry" is the result of an international collaboration examining the continued use of ⁹⁹Tc NMR spectroscopy  as an invaluable characterization tool. The article reflects how synergy between theory and experimental analysis could allow for predicting the behavior of Tc in complex biological systems for medical imaging, in the nuclear fuel cycle for separation, and in environmental systems for nuclear waste remediation.
