Dr. Erum Chowdhry (Medicine), was awarded the "Outstanding Resident Award" at the Western Medical Research Conference in Carmel, California. She won the award for her presentation, "." This presentation was developed from a quality improvement project with aims to increase provider education and provision of the Asthma Action Plans. Her co-resident who helped develop and conduct the QI project was Dr. Shield Olabamiji, and their attending advisor was Dr. Dodds P. Simangan (both Medicine).
