Deborah Arteaga (Foreign Languages) gave the keynote address, "On the Old French Subjunctive," at the annual Linguistic Symposium on the Romance Languages, the premier international conference in romance linguistics, which this year took place at Southern Utah University in Cedar City. A presenter at this highly competitive conference since 1991, she presented previously unpublished work on 12th century French syntax.
