Brittany Fiedler (Libraries) has been selected as an American Library Association (ALS) Emerging Leader. The is a leadership development program for newer librarians. The program is limited to no more than 50 participants each year.
The program kicks off with a day-long session during the ALA Midwinter Meeting, and continues with a six months of online and networking sessions, culminating with a poster session presentation at the ALA Annual Conference.
Fiedler joined University Libraries in August after serving as a library media specialist at Tarkanian Middle School. She earned bachelor's and master's degrees from 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, as well as her master of science in library and information science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
