April Ursula Fox and Nicole Thomas (both Educational Psychology) presented the session titled, "Making Science Education Memorable with Zines at the Natural History Museum: A Mixed Methods Study," at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) 2025.
The session offered a deep dive into their research on the use of Zines as educational tools that promote a deep sense of ownership over the content learned.
Fox is a proud member of the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ A4 Zine club RSO, and has many of her publications in the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Barrick Museum housed Zine library, which holds thousands of zines available for public review. She also collaborates with many faculty on adding Zines as part of classroom assessment, and invites anyone interested in that to get in touch!
