Andy Kirk (History; Reid Public History Institute) presented his paper, "Bringing the Theory & Method of Environmental History to the Practice of Cultural Resource Management — Researching The California Surfing History Multiple Property Documentation," at the at Oulu University in Oulu Finland. The paper highlighted the innovative collaboration between the Reid Institute, the National Park Service and community partner Sea of Clouds. Together these three collaborators are working on a comprehensive preservation planning document for coastal historic sites with urgent threats from climate change.
