Clark County Residents

Incoming students who currently live in Clark County can also qualify for on-campus housing, and many students from the local area choose to live on campus.

Roommate Matching

  • Roommate matching will typically take place from May to mid June (see our Important Dates page for exact dates). Outside of these dates, the Housing & Residential Life team will match you with a roommate based on the information provided in questions two to five of your application.
  • The Housing Application contains optional questions that take into account students who are eligible for roommate matching and room selection that takes place during the summer. By answering those questions, you are providing information needed for other students to search for you as a potential roommate match.
  • Within their Housing Portal room selection and matching tab, students can find roommates by their preferences from the application or a direct search by first and last name to send a roommate request. The requested person will be able to accept or deny the roommate request. Once matched, they will be able to move onto the room selection process.

Room Selection

  • Room selection will typically take place during the end of June (see our Important Dates page for exact dates).
  • Students who applied for housing before July 1 will be given a date and time to log into their Housing Portal and select their complex, hall, and room number.
  • Students who have matched with each other previously will be able to select a room together, and the first roommate will be able to block the other bed space until it is the second or third roommate's turn to select. Students who do not have a roommate will be able to choose a space for themselves only.
