51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ

DASH is one of the longest-running, key signature programs here at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. Join 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏolunteers as we build peanut butter and jelly sandwiches lunch bags to hand out during the community lunch hour at the Salvation Army!

We will be meeting at the Student Union first floor (near the eating bar). Volunteers will participate in a short educational activity followed immediately by preparing lunch bags to hand out at the Salvation Army. After the program, we hope participants will take their involvement to the next level by seeking other ways to do service and seeking to provide long-term solutions to social inequalities such as food and housing insecurity.

The Delivery shift begins at 12:45 p.m. Please plan on being here on time as we shortly take off to arrive at the Salvation Army by 1:15pm. Volunteers at the Salvation Army will volunteer to help out serving and handing out food and DASH sack lunches, as well as covering whatever other volunteer needs Salvation Army may need.

Please plan on wearing long-sleeve shirt and pants at the Salvation Army. No exceptions to the pants rule allowed.

Volunteers will receive 2.5 hours of service for participating.
