Join us for an engaging introduction to the role of artificial intelligence at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ, designed for faculty who want to better understand this rapidly evolving field. This session will highlight who is using AI on campus, how students are engaging with it in their learning, and how faculty are incorporating it into teaching and research. We’ll also cover the fundamentals of AI; what it is (and isn’t), how it works, and the tools, resources, and frameworks available at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ to support responsible use.

Objectives:

  1. Provide faculty with a clear overview of AI fundamentals and current applications at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.
  2. Explore how students and faculty are using AI in learning and teaching, with real case studies.
  3. Introduce resources, policies, and the emerging AI community at 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ to support informed adoption.
