Apr. 18, 2025

We are reaching out to provide an update on the issue of U.S. visa revocations and SEVIS terminations. In total, 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ has had 7 students and employees on OPT who have been affected. We’re pleased to report that there have been no new terminations in the past 7 days, and we remain hopeful that this trend will continue. There have been a number of lawsuits filed across the United States, and we are working with the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) and the state of Nevada to advocate for our international students and scholars.

As we approach the end of the spring 2025 semester, it’s important that you remain calm and continue to focus on your work. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ has a comprehensive process in place to help any affected students or scholars through this situation. International students, faculty, and staff are highly valued members of our community, and we care deeply about your well-being. You belong here, and we are here to support you.

As a reminder, here are some precautionary measures that we recommend you follow:

  • Carry your original immigration documents with you at all times, including here in Las Vegas and during any U.S. travel.
