Human Resources encourages departments with student employees to participate in National Student Employment Appreciation Week, April 14-18.

Student Employee Appreciation Week is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the student employees who play a key role in campus operations' success.

One way to give recognition is to send a note of gratitude through Rebel Applause. The platform allows colleagues to show appreciation to each other for demonstrating 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ’s campus values.

Other fun ways to celebrate your student employees include:

Professional Development Workshop: Provide a session focused on job-specific skills to enhance student employee resumes, or create a space for them to discuss their career goals and receive guidance from mentors. No time left this week? Send invitations for an event at a later date.

Shout-Out Board: Set up a board in a common space where staff can write notes of appreciation, sharing what they value most about each student employee’s hard work and dedication; a gesture that can remain on display year-round to show appreciation for student employees.

Social Media Spotlights: Showcase your student employees on social media with a post recognizing their contributions and impact within your department. Just make sure you ask them first!
