Volunteer With the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Community

Volunteering is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the community and 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ. The Office of Alumni Engagement and the Alumni Association Board of Directors provide a gateway to university service. There are numerous ways to volunteer — from helping out for a few hours at an event, serving on committees, mentoring students, or joining the board of directors.

Join the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Association (51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏAA)

  • Academic Chapters: Serve in a leadership capacity on the alumni college board associated with your degree. Elections take place annually and many boards host engaging events, scholarship fundraisers, and functions to support their respective college or school.
  • Affinity Clubs: Organized by special interest, these clubs are led by alumni volunteers from a variety of backgrounds. Join an active affinity club or consider starting a new club!
  • Alumni Association Board of Directors. The 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Alumni Association is governed by a dynamic board of directors. Each director is elected for two-year terms and applications are accepted annually.
  • Alumni Association Committees: The work of the Alumni Association board is done through board committees. Committees meet regularly to discuss policy and procedures and to implement committee goals and objectives.

Network and Engage With Other Rebels

  • Career Engagement: Share your knowledge and resources by serving on career panels, hiring Rebel alumni, supporting Career Fairs, or working with us to find other opportunities. Consider adding your information to our "Career Launch" portal by completing our .
  • Regional Networks: Get engaged with alumni in cities outside of Nevada. 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏAA is building Regional Networks to provide opportunities for our alumni living outside of Las Vegas to stay connected in a variety of ways.

Lend Your Support and Talents

  • Event Support: Volunteers are essential for the success of our engagement opportunities and events. Join us by helping with registration, providing hospitality, assisting with troubleshooting, or serving as an event ambassador as a table host/ess. Time commitments typically run 90-minutes to 2-hours in length for events, unless otherwise specified.
  • Social Media Ambassadors: Social media ambassadors support the digital engagement strategy of the 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement through community relations, online content, and digital marketing. Social media ambassadors share unique content from their personal online handles as well as content and images provided by 51³Ô¹ÏºÚÁÏ.
